The pediment is a triangle-shaped structure with ornate neoclassical figures filling the space. In the center stands a woman, representing Kentucky, with her arms outstretched in front of her. To the left and right are various figures representing Progress, History, Plenty, Law, Art, and Labor standing with cattle and horses.
