(About seven miles west of Lexington on the Versailles Pike) This is one of the most unusual and attractive buildings of Lexington's new race track. The first floor accommodates a commodious club-room and a stallroom for a score of thoroughbreds. One of the most outstanding features of the entire building is the large limestone rock fireplace."

To the left is a small Grandstand and the other is a clubhouse viewing pavilion attached to a stone building. In a note attached to the image it reads "Keeneland. About seven miles west of Lexington on the Versailles Pike. Site of Lexington's new mile and one-sixteenth race track, a three-story stone clubhouse and a grandstand seating one thousand persons. Keeneland officials have set out to definitely establish it as a national track, a place where Thoroughbred racing will be perpetuated for sport and for the value of races as tests for breeding stock.

Her the Lexington "Trots" are held in the Spring and Fall. Since the Civil War annual fairs have been held on the grounds."

The Kentucky Jockey Club's Latonia race course, which is conceded to be one of the prettiest, if not the most beautiful race institution in America, is one of the oldest institutions in Kenton County. It is located in Covington, Kentucky about 1/4 mile from Madison Pike at the end of Latonia Avenue. For a generation, this meeting place of the thoroughbreds, has been close to the heart of Kentuckians, and especially are the citizens of Northern Kentucky proud of it. This is the view of the track taken from the Grandstand."
