"St. Mary's Cathedral" Covington, Photo 0075 (back), undated- scannedBack of photograph 0075. There is a glued on caption that reads "St. Mary's Cathedral. St. Mary's Cathedral, located at Madison Avenue and 12th Street, Covington, Kentucky, claims wide distinction, it is a million dollar structure, patterned after St. Dennis Abbey and the famous Notre Dame in Paris and is one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in this country. It has a seating capacity of 1400 persons. The windows in the church are a study in themselves and every window has a religious significance. The gorgeous north window at the extreme left of the picture is said to be the second largest stained glass window in the world. It is 24 feet by 67 feet. St. Mary's Cathedral is an achievement of which any community might well feel proud, a joy to all who love beauty, and an inspiration to the young."
