To the left is a small Grandstand and the other is a clubhouse viewing pavilion attached to a stone building. In a note attached to the image it reads "Keeneland. About seven miles west of Lexington on the Versailles Pike. Site of Lexington's new mile and one-sixteenth race track, a three-story stone clubhouse and a grandstand seating one thousand persons. Keeneland officials have set out to definitely establish it as a national track, a place where Thoroughbred racing will be perpetuated for sport and for the value of races as tests for breeding stock.
