"The grave of George Rogers Clark in Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville," Photo 0613, June 8, 1936- scanned Black and white photograph showing a lot of cemetery monuments. in the front are four small white tombstones with three flag markers between them. The first monument reads "Gen. George Rogers Clark Born O. S. Nov. 9. 1752 Died Feb. 13 1818." Written in white along the bottom it reads "1. b. Lou. Ky. Cave. Hill. Lot. 245. See. P. June. 8. 1936. Graves. Gen. G. R. Clark. Capt. Edm. Clark. Gen. Jona. Clark." In a note attached to the photograph it reads "The grave of George Rogers Clark in Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville. General Clark was born in Virginia, in 1752, November 9th (Old Style) or 20th (New Style). He died February 13, 1818, at Locust Grave, where he is buried. In 1869 his remains were reinterred in Cave Hill and the small marble marble marker then erected was replaced in 1936 by one of the granite of the same size and bearing the same inscription: Gen. George Rogers Clark, Born, O. S. Nov. 9, 1752, Died, Feb. 13, 1818."

It is resting on a stone, square mausoleum. In a note attached to the image it reads "The Henry Clay Monument Lexington Cemetery. The Cornerstone was laid July 4, 1857. The original statue surmounting the shaft was the work of John Hailey, of Frankfort, from a mold of Joel T. Hart. It was unveiled July 4, 1861. Lightning mutilated the statue, July 22, 1903. The second replica of the first, is the work of Charles J. Mulligan."

"World War Veteran's Memorial Bridge," Photo 0614 (back), undated- scanned Back of photograph 0614. There is a caption glued to the back that reads "World War Veteran's Memorial Bridge. Formally dedicated July 23, 1936, the World War Veteran's Memorial Bridge re-united Covington and Newport, toll free. It was built by the Kentucky State Highway Department at a total approximate cost of $287,780.67, which funds were obtained from the National Highway Recovery Act, and replaces the Old Fourth Street Bridge. The completion of this bridge is the culmination of years of effort to make of Northern Kentucky a solid unit. This unification means doubled strength, harmony, and influence and assures Northern Kentucky of rightful place to which its wealth, its energy, and its population entitle it."

Zollicoffer for right as they say it. They are part of the Great Host who crowned Southern Manhood with Glorious immortality. They Gave their lives. The noblest of all offerings. At Duty's call and fame will ever point with pride to this sacred place where these heroes now so peacefully sleep. - Erected by Genl. Bennett H. Young L. Z Duke and James Shuttleworth as a tribute to Southern Valor."
