"Public Library of Covington," Photo 0257 (back), undated- scanned Back of photograph 0257. A caption is glued on the back that reads "The Public Library of Covington, situated at Robbins and Scott Streets, was created by an act of legislature in 1898. The building was the voluntary gift of Andrew Carnegie, and was erected in 1901. The architecture of the building is Greek, and is one of Covington's most beautiful buildings. There are two floors and an auditorium with a seating capacity of 750 persons. Two beautiful paintings hang just inside of the main entrance on either side of the large doors that are worthy of mention. They were both painted by Harlan Hubbard, of Ft. Thomas. One is a reproduction of Park Place, Covington, in 1870. The other is a river scene of the same year."

The Covington Children's Home is built on a 25 acre site, with plenty of shade and playground for the children. It has a spacious room and library, also private rooms for those who care for the children. The Home overlooks Covington, Cincinnati, Newport and the Ohio River with Ft. Thomas in the distance and is one of the most beautiful views you will find anywhere. For 55 years the Home has rendered a distinct service to our community. During all this time, it has been engaged in America's most constructive work, the development of children, into clean-minded, healthy, self-supporting men and women. It is managed by the Board of Women, who are representatives of various Protestant churches and is maintained through and by generosity of citizens." "Twin Oaks Country Club," Photo 0246 (back), undated- scanned Back of photograph 0246. There is a caption glued to the back that reads: "Twin Oaks Country Club. At the end of East 43rd Street in that part of Covington, Ky., known as Rosedale, lies the Twin Oaks Country Club. It has a setting, hardly equalled in Northern Kentucky. It sets in the center of approximately 140 acres of beautiful rolling land. On entering the grounds, there is a circular driveway skirted by large trees with a panoramo of hills forming a background. On the front lawn trees, shrubbery and flowers present a beautiful appearance during spring, summer and autumn seasons. Behind the Clubhouse the land gently rolls to the Licking River. Some distance at the right is a beautiful lake. The land is said to be almost a natural Golf Course. It is an eighteen-hole course and owing to the large acreage, one of the safest from interference hereabouts. It is approximately 6500 yards, in length and presents many beautiful landscape scenes with its many virgin and stately oaks, many of which are of the twin variety."
