A caption is glued on the back and reads "Monte Casino This is a unique little church known as the Monte Casino Church, situated just off of Highland Pike in the southern part of Covington, Kentucky. It was erected by the Brothers of the Monte Casino Monastery and is said to be the smallest Catholic Church in the world, accommodating only three worshippers [sic] at one time, including the priest." There is also a photographer stamp in the center that reads "Rolsen Photo Service Phone HE 0572-12 Catalpa AVE. Covington, KY."

St. Mary's Cathedral, located at Madison Avenue and 12th Street, Covington, Kentucky, claims wide distinction, it is a million dollar structure, patterned after St. Dennis Abbey and the famous Notre Dame in Paris and is one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in this country. It has a seating capacity of 1400 persons. The windows in the church are a study in themselves and every window has a religious significance. The gorgeous north window at the extreme left of the picture is said to be the second largest stained glass window in the world. It is 24 feet by 67 feet. St. Mary's Cathedral is an achievement of which any community might well feel proud, a joy to all who love beauty, and an inspiration to the young."
